Orienteering Meet
5 October 2025

It was a warm day for early October, temperature about 80. Other than the temperature it was a good day for orienteering. We had 30 starts from 46 participants. Everyone seemed to have a good time, although a few complained about the number of spider webs in the forest.

Sherry Shank designed three courses for the event: one for beginners, one for novices and a 90-minute score course for experienced orienteers. Before the event began, there was concern that we might run out of maps for the novice course. This was the result of a bunch of people signing up for that course at the last minute. Fortunately, a few of them did not show up.

Three new people became club members at this event. Welcome to Fiona Stauffer, Steve Blackie and Matthew Hasselfield.
