It was a bright sunny day with temperatures in the 70-75 range. A lot of people chose to show up at one of our venues that usually hAS a hard time attracting many people. The challenge was that many of those who came did not preregister causing some scrambling to try to accommodate them. We had a total of 39 starts from 80 participants.

Sherry Shank designed five courses to test the participants. A few of the controls on the more advanced courses were no doubt challenging because of the late summer vegetation. There were a large number of participants on the Novice course, several of them doing that course after completing the Beginner course. The numbers of people on the two Advanced courses was small, at least partly because of a New York rogaine happening the same day.
